The Great City Life of Sydney

If you are planning of going to Australia for a vacation, Sydney is a city that you must visit. This is the largest and the most populous city in Australia. It has a robust atmosphere. Many people from different cultural backgrounds mix here creating a rich urban life. I came here in winter, not the best time for vacation, but nonetheless it’s still a good travel experience. The temperature was around 10 to 18 degrees C, a very manageable weather with sometimes no need to wear jackets.

Transportation is really easy in this city if you purchase an Opal card. This card is the official pass for transports like bus, train, and ferry in the New South Wales territory. Having this card, traveling to famous landmarks like Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour, and Queen Victoria Building in the middle of the city is really comfortable and easy. These areas are near the city’s office zone and major shopping centers, so they are crowded almost all the time.

I also set aside some of my time and visited the Anzac War Memorial in Hyde Park which was built as a memorial to Australian’s military service in World War I. With a nice beautiful pool in front of the building and the surrounding serene park, the building is a nice photography object. All in all, I had a very great time in Sydney!
