Singapore, the Have-It-All City-State

This small city-state is a place I’ve already wanted to conquer for a very long time. I was really intrigued about the idea of a state in the size of a city and wanted to see and experience it by myself. Moreover, I had a really great time enjoying this amazing city! Located between Indonesia and Malaysia, Singapore is although dense, it managed to have many gardens and parks. I was amazed with the ability of the city planners to design transportation lines that reach everywhere in the city, it is integrated with housings and public places.

The thing I like the most from Singapore is how the ethnics here can live and work together peacefully. With people from Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Western backgrounds, you can hear many languages being spoken here. This also affects the developments of many culture based areas in the city, like the Chinatown and the Little India. I had a great time trying out hawker cuisines when I was in both of these places!

If you are after shopping, Orchard Road is the place to go in Singapore. This street is full of shopping malls selling many kinds of things, both branded and unbranded. You are guaranteed to spend hours and hours here!
